Hi friends, fam, and newcomers!
This one’s for the mamas! Especially those with babies asleep on their chests, truly in in the thick of it, pouring from tired, empty cups. For anyone carrying something tender—grief, exhaustion, love that feels like too much and not enough all at once.
When I launched this meditation series, one of the first messages I received was from a dear friend in the newborn fog:
“I just meditated with Maddy while the baby contact napped, ” accompanied by some words of encouragement.
Her one text meant so much to me. It reminded me how magical those quiet moments can be, but how incredibly exhausting the time is too. So today’s episode is for her, and for anyone who needs a gentle pocket of presence.
This meditation also accompanies my recent piece on breastfeeding, pumping, and the sometimes impossible juggle of working while mothering. These are times of depletion—and yet we’re asked to give so much. I hope this offers a sliver of rest.
If you’ve got five minutes, I hope you’ll listen. And if you don’t, I hope you’ll breathe anyway. :)
With peace, love, and contact naps!
Maddy
